There’s a few bands that I’ve watched over the years, waiting patiently (or maybe not-so-patiently) to put out new material. One of those has been Tea for Julie, a Portland four-piece who skillfully draws on the same music that is so hard-wired in my brain that even if they weren’t very good, it would still be impossible for me not to like them. But they are good, incredible, in fact.

Their second album, The Sense in Tying Knots, is out next week, and their release party for it is Wednesday, June 25 at the Doug Fir, along with friends The Turn-Ons and Crosstide. The band graciously agreed to come play in the studio, and you can listen to the results for yourself.
